What you’ll be doing

The role of the Sonata Application Support Analyst is to perform application deployment/technical administration/problem identification and resolution in order to support users of Sonata and ancillary application services

Main activities

  • The analysis and resolution of issues raised by Clients including;
  • Identification of faulty software and omissions in functionality (including debugging code where necessary)
  • Correction to data where required on client databases
  • Correction of problems caused by incorrect use of application functionality
  • Correction of system configuration faults.
  • Informing clients of progress and resolution of issues raised, and ensuring all problem logs are updated regularly with succinct technically detailed entries relating all investigations/actions taken to date.
  • The deployment of application code.
  • Technical housekeeping and administration

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

You’re a natural problem solver with the ability to advance support capabilities whilst maintaining quality. You’re keen to learn and get involved in Sonata, Bravura Solutions’ next generation platform.

Other skills include:

  • Any Post Graduate or B.E./B.Tech/MCA
  • 4 – 8 years’ of experience.
  • Educated to a high standard in the English language
  • A good understanding of best practice application development methodology, together with: an excellent working knowledge of SQL language and an ability to develop basic application code using a modern object based language
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A basic understanding of service delivery processes i.e. Code promotion and release process, Change control, Problem management, Availability management, Contingency planning / business continuity and Configuration management
  • Excellent working knowledge of Java 5, including the Eclipse Development Platform
  • Excellent working knowledge of popular Java frameworks such as Hibernate, JSP/JSF and web services.
  • Requirement of working in 24*7 shift
  • Proven knowledge of databases, to include solid experience of SQL preferable on Oracle Database
  • Troubleshooting and debugging capabilities/techniques
  • Prior knowledge of working on Application Support model will be a plus
  • Knowledge of the financial service industry will be a plus
