About the Role

In this role, you will identify the client’s requirements, carry out business and/or gap analyses, provide and configure databases for testing as well as support client testing and implementation.  Typical projects include system upgrades, data migrations and new fund or product launches.

Main activities

  • Liaise with the client to understand the client’s requirements
  • Gain a good knowledge of the client’s business, systems and internal structures
  • Understand all aspects of the implementation
  • Identify issues which may impact the project and ensure they are resolved
  • Ensure that the ‘solution’ will support the agreed requirements
  • Provide high level or detailed estimates for clients as required
  • Document Terms of Reference, Gap Analysis and other project documentation
  • Complete project management activities where no project manager assigned, including project status reporting, AID log, budget monitoring and resource allocation
  • Ensure all project issues are progressed and resolved to facilitate a smooth transition
  • Identify and agree solutions for the issues raised
  • Act as a contact point for the client and internally for other departments
  • Configure systems functionality/options/capabilities to the client’s required operating model
  • Support user acceptance, model office, dry run testing and project implementation
  • Provide training in any aspect of the client’s use of Bravura Solutions systems
  • Provide mentoring in aspects of the role or the technology to other Consultants
  • Prepare documentation to handover to Production Support to enable a seamless transition from Consultancy to the production environment

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

Key Skills

    • Business Analysis techniques
    • A working knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, including PEPs, ISAs, OEICs, WRAP and Life & Pensions products and the Regulatory requirements
    • Experience working within transfer agency and/or fund administration
    • Experience of systems that are used to support the Financial Services Industry such as Rufus, Talisman, FAST
    • Knowledge and experience of database SQL query language, an awareness of client/server technologies and distributed architectures
    • Self motivation and the ability to work both independently and in a team
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, including occasional weekend implementations
    • Customer service orientation
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Good presentational skills
    • Ability to command attention and respect and present a professional image
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, being persuasive, tenacious, and flexible in approach
    • Strong commercial awareness, specifically in relation to financial control processes and task estimating
