What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll join a newly-established Digital scrum team in our Adelaide office focused on developing web solutions for the financial services industry.

With Bravura you’ll work in a Agile environment supported by strong technical individuals and enjoy collaborating with motivated colleagues across the globe.  You’ll be relied on for your ability to create innovative, robust solutions to meet our customers’ emerging business requirements and as a result, you will be able to admire your creation at the end.

Main activities

  • Build next-generation web applications with a focus on the client side.
  • Translating business requirements into functional and intuitive user interfaces for desktop and mobile devices
  • Offering improvements to current processes leveraging your knowledge and experience
  • Understanding requirements from Business Analysts and Test Analysts and providing accurate estimates
  • Web design and development for performance and scalability, including design for efficient database access, optimizing network chatter, caching session and standing data, predictive fetching etc.
  • Performing development testing and writing automated unit tests

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • Demonstrated experience with web applications and languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Java.
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and/or React. Knowledge of back-end web application frameworks is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and techniques. Experience with grid CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap is desirable.
  • Functional knowledge and hands on design experience with RESTful API.
  • Working knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and general web standards.
  • Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to web applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and practices.
  • Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as CDI and/or Spring.
  • Familiarity with build tools such as Maven/Jenkins and distributed version control systems such as Git.

  • You have the ability to suggest changes with confidence, succinctly articulating the rationale
  • A background working in the digital space would be favourable
  • You have a reputation for excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • You must have the legal right to work in Australia upon application to be considered
