This is a rare part-time opportunity working 22.5 hours per week. Whilst our preference is for three full days, we are open to discussing this working pattern. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to balance part-time work with other responsibilities.

 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will take accountability for the effective administration of the Global Group’s tax environment and oversee all new developments including its implications for the business and finance systems and processes. You will mentor junior finance team member on tax matters, whilst encouraging and initiating knowledge sharing across projects.

Managing the cash forecasting process of the Global Group, including initiating inter-company settlement requirements is a fundamental component of the role.

 

Your new team

Reporting to the Group Controller, you’ll also work cohesively with the wider finance teams and senior stakeholders within the business, globally as well as external auditors and tax advisors.

Main activities

  • Manage the effective tax rate
  • Day to day relationship management with Lenders and transactional banks
  • Cashflow management and forecasting
  • Optimising cash positions in all jurisdictions and preparing dividend proposals
  • Consultation with internal resources and third-party service providers
  • Transfer pricing, tax forecasting and planning as well as income tax compliance

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

You will have minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar capacity where you understand global tax across multiple jurisdictions.

Other skills will also include:

  • Preferably CA/CPA qualified
  • Ideally gained experience in a Tax Advisory role for one of the Big 5 firms
  • Proven client facing consultancy and relationship skills within a large commercial environment
  • An aptitude for working to challenging deadlines and budgets on a continual basis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distinguish between business and technical audiences
  • You will enjoy working collaboratively and demonstrate a well-organised approach to day to day work
  • Experience with CCH Tox Integrator preferred #LI-PRIORITY
