About the role

Reporting to the COO, APAC, this role delivers strong technical, commercial and people leadership for the Managed Cloud Services function at Bravura, ultimately enabling a profitable and sustainable service offering. The Head of Managed Cloud Services, APAC focuses on creating new and maintaining existing internal and external relationships, delivering client outcomes, executing business development activities and third party supplier management.

The role is responsible for delivering the full lifecycle of Managed Cloud Service offerings, including public and private cloud and client on premise hosted managed application management services. Working in conjunction with Sales and Consulting and IT, the role will manage presales, commercial management and delivery, providing the direction and guidance to execute and grow a profit oriented, client focused Managed Services function.

The role is responsible for the people and the outcomes required to deliver all Managed Cloud Services across APAC and across all products, including but not limited Sonata, Babel, ePASS, Garradin, and Talisman.

Main activities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Managed Services team and function across APAC
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate technologies that deliver a secure, robust and scalable platform
  • Provide advice to internal teams on solution architecture, infrastructure implementation management, application management and deployment, application performance monitoring and database administration
  • Financial and commercial management
  • Lead and deliver proactive client management and business development activities
  • Manage the public face of Bravura‚Äôs Managed Services offering
  • Provide technical advice to clients and employees, taking active steps to understand requirements and deliver workable solutions
  • Provide infrastructure and application management across a range of different technologies, including overseeing deployments
  • Ensure operational readiness, sustainable delivery and infrastructure meets or exceeds client and market needs
  • Track projects to ensure that resources are assigned and tasks are tracking to schedule
  • Act as an escalation for troubleshooting and operational issues internally and to support clients
  • Manage relationships with a network of high quality third party suppliers
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to deliver customised implementation and integration plans
  • Oversee Managed Services on call activity, including management of the on call roster and undertaking on call shifts as required

To be successful in this role candidates will require:


  • Typically, 15+ years of related service delivery and client management experience
  • Strong operational knowledge and experience with outsourced managed services offerings and platforms
  • Strong networking and infrastructure fundamentals
  • Excellent knowledge of overall database architecture and administration, including capacity planning
  • Strong understanding of IT security
  • Outstanding client relationship skills, with an ability to influence and negotiate whilst delivering on client outcomes
  • Strong leader able to coach, delegate, mentor and develop others
  • Able to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement
  • Articulate with strong communication skills and a proven ability to tailor communication to a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional focus on quality of output
  • Problem solver, with an innate ability to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Commercially and financially astute


  • Understanding/experience of enterprise-grade IT platforms and infrastructure
  • Experience in a Financial Services Software environment
