Overview of role

The Legal Counsel, EMEA is responsible for providing pro-active commercial legal advice to Bravura Solutions. As the Legal Counsel, EMEA you will be required to consistently deliver high quality legal services to the EMEA group of companies across Bravura’s full range of solutions; to build and maintain rewarding relationships with existing and new clients and contacts; to assist the General Counsel to meet agreed financial targets; and to develop personal expertise.

Main activities

  • Commercial relationships with prospects, customers, partners and suppliers in EMEA, in particular exploitation and safeguarding of intellectual property rights, software licensing, services agreements, distribution arrangements, reseller agreements, referral agreements, joint ventures and general commercial relationships
  • Assisting in the Company Secretarial services for the Bravura group in EMEA
  • Contentious and non-contentious employment advice
  • Dispute resolution and litigation
  • Advising on data protection, real estate, insurance and other general matters
  • Devising and delivering training to staff on applicable commercial legal matters
  • Assisting at a high level on the application of Revenue Recognition rules

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • Qualified practising Solicitor or Barrister
  • 1-4 years PQE
  • Experience gained in-house with leading companies with cross-jurisdictional exposure in the IT field
  • Good understanding of IT, IP and other issues which typically arise in the course of Bravura’s transactions
  • Able to clearly present alternatives and proposed solutions
  • Strong time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Ability to apply judgement to broaden influence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
