Your new role

You’ll play a fundamental role in providing expert level professional consulting services to clients in the APAC Wealth (typically KiwiSaver) and Life Insurance segments. You will provide detailed and in-depth knowledge of the system, the market and technical environment to deliver successful projects as a subject matter expert. You will assimilate complex business issues and create workable solutions for our customers that cover technical, data, business and commercial elements.

Main activities

  • Work in conjunction with the Project Managers, Principal Consultants and Technical Consultants to create workable solutions
  • Lead consulting activities during implementation including scoping of requirements, defining configuration and enhancements and contribute in Client/Vendor workshops
  • Be responsible and accountable for defined assignments within the implementation project/s
  • Produce high quality documentation, including requirements and solution documents for any enhancements to the system
  • Liaise with clients during installation and testing of developed solutions or products
  • Deal directly with Development Teams to facilitate the creation and development of enhancements for clients

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • Essential to the success of this role is a minimum of four years’ experience either in Wealth (KiwiSaver) or Life Insurance
  • You must have commercial acumen and be hands-on in delivering quality outcomes for clients
  • Proven experience solving complex problems in a collaborative and pragmatic approach
  • Understanding of software development, product development and system support
  • An analytical mind to identify trends in incidents and underlying problems
  • Ability to assimilate complex business issues and create workable solutions
  • Proven client facing consultancy and relationship skills within a large commercial environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distinguish between your business and technical audiences
  • Sound organisation and prioritisation skills, able to manage own goals and deliverables
