About the Role

Bravura Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our EMEA Corporate IT Team. The role offers the opportunity to work across a mix of BAU and project work with your fundamental accountability being for the support and maintenance of specific IT infrastructure and core systems.  This is a varied position that will involve exposure to network support work with the core of the role centring on server related activities.

Main activities

  • Build or rebuild Windows servers
  • Undertake software configuration, upgrades and maintenance on Windows servers (2008R2, 2012R2 and 2016).
  • Carry out server administration on corporate system servers such as Exchange, File Servers, Asset Management tool servers, etc.
  • Support Exchange 2016 servers and Active Sync.
  • Undertake systems administrator proactive checks and server maintenance tasks
  • Administer DNS and DHCP reserved addresses
  • Undertake tracing work for connectivity issues
  • Undertake CISCO ASA configuration maintenance, for access and for VPN connectivity
  • Undertake fault-finding work and CISCO Wi-Fi set up and change related activities

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

Essential

  • An in-depth working knowledge of Windows server (2008R2, 2012R2, 2016)
  • A high functioning knowledge of Windows desktop operating system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Office 365 software
  • In-depth experience in and understanding of Microsoft tooling (including creation & maintenance of SCCM task sequences; PowerShell Scripting, MAPS)
  • Experience in Supporting MS Exchange 2016 in a multi-DAG environment.
  • Knowledge of McAfee Encryption is beneficial
  • Familiar in all aspects of domain controllers, DNS and DHCP

 

Desirable

  • Microsoft qualified to MSCA level
  • Experience of IT support in the Financial Services industry
