Main activities

  • Transformation of business requirements into functional designs, including creation of functional design documents, walkthroughs, iterative reviews and design approval.
  • Review of requirements specifications, design documentation and functional guides.
  • Participate in the maintaining of requirements traceability.
  • User interface design and prototyping.
  • Maintenance of additional documentation e.g. product documents, training materials.
  • Prepare and deliver post development demonstrations of new functionality.
  • Ensure regular communication is maintained at all levels with all parties involved in SDLC.
  • Comply with Bravura Solutions policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

Key Skills

  • Excellent English communication skills both written and oral with end-users and IT.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work within Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and independently, multi-tasking when required.
  • Practical knowledge in modelling IT systems using industry standards e.g. UML, BPMN.
  • Basic SQL querying skills and understanding of HTML / CSS for User Interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with the initiative to proactively resolve issues.
  • Readiness for business travel (on average around 10% of time per annum).

 

Preferable Knowledge

  • Practical skills in usage of Microsoft Office and Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Good working knowledge of TA platforms e.g. Rufus / taWeb / Babel.
  • Exposure to working within a professional services organisation.
  • Knowledge of UK/European Retail Funds and Transfer Agency industry.

 

Typical Experience

At least 3 – 5 years of experience in IT, with at least 1-2 years experience in a business environment coupled with tertiary level qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics. #LI-PRIORIT
