Main activities

  • Supporting full lifecycle of Asset Management / Funds Administration suit of applications on a 2nd/3rd support level
  • SQL database querying, troubleshooting and debugging
  • Working with MS Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server to retrieve, build and debug source code
  • Analysis and resolution of issues raised by clients including: identification of faulty software and omissions in functionality, correction to data where Required on client databases, correction of problems caused by incorrect use of application functionality, correction of system configuration faults
  • Informing clients of progress and resolution of issues raised
  • The deployment of application code (UAT and Production environment), and the associated configuration of Web / Windows Services
  • Supporting business End of Day batch processing
  • Ensuring client business processing is completed within deadlines
  • Dealing with and creating documentation and work instructions
  • Working with other teams in the development and delivery of client system solutions

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • Educated to degree level or having equivalent experience in an IT related role (Analyst, Software / SQL Developer, Administrator)
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL and MS SQL Server (must have)
  • Understanding of the Microsoft .NET environment
  • Programming and/or debugging skills in an object oriented language (preferably C#)
  • Fluent written and oral English (must have)
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility around working hours
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent attention to details

Advantageous but not essential:

  • Experience in development of .NET applications
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure administration (Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, JBoss, IBM WebSphere, SOAP)
  • Experience in multicultural B2B contacts
  • ITIL Foundation #LI-PRIORITY
