About the Role

Bravura Solutions is currently looking for a Systems Integration Consultant to sit within Bravura’s Technical Services Group.

You will have a diverse set of responsibilities including (but not limited to): support and on-call responsibilities for high profile Bravura clients; BAU technical support; contribute to the overall vision of the function.

This role provides a wealth of opportunity including the ability to develop your technical skills and knowledge within a Global FinTech.

Main activities

  • Participate in systems solution and design that fulfils service delivery requirements and meets SLA's
  • Plan and coordinate the successful delivery of complex systems
  • Responsibility for the technical liaison with 3rd party IT infrastructure suppliers
  • Design, develop, automate, deploy, maintain and monitor cloud based and on premise systems
  • Establish and promote the adoption of Devops principles
  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platforms and application domains
  • Propose and recommend architecture process improvements
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Experience using Java J2EE, JSF, EJB, JPA, REST, PL/SQL, with Oracle as RDBMS and JBoss/Wildfly as Application Server on Linux/Windows platforms;
  • A comprehensive appreciation of the infrastructure within which the application exists, covering:
    • Databases (Maintenance and Support processes)
    • Server (O/S, Service Packs, User Rights, Disk Storage configuration (logical & physical))
    • Telecommunications (Routers, NAT, Firewalls, Load Balancers)
    • Security Domain design and Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
    • Virtualization technology
    • Systems Monitoring
  • An understanding of the development lifecycle and service management processes. ie.
    • Code promotion and release process
    • Change Control
    • Problem Management
    • Availability Management
    • Contingency planning / Business Continuity / Risk Management Planning
    • Configuration Management
    • Capacity planning
  • An appreciation of the key processes within the Financial industry
