About the role

Bravura Solutions need experienced Technical Consultants who can offer unique perspectives, in an exciting and rapidly expanding team of global innovators at the forefront of the Financial Services industry. As a Technical Consultant, you will be able to quickly build upon your industry knowledge and consultancy skills to become a real subject matter expert.

The Technical Consultant will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to external and internal clients.  The role holder will be an expert in all Wealth Management related software, interfaces, solutions and implementations within Bravura EMEA. You will be involved in the support and resolution of complex technical requirements or issues.  The role has client-facing aspects, including visits to client offices.

Main activities

  • Advising and supporting client implementations of the Sonata application suite
  • Advising on infrastructure environment requirements for client implementations of Sonata
  • Workshops, meetings, and liaison with clients to determine systems integration requirements
  • Gather and document requirements and solution designs for system enhancements to support integration and technically complex processing areas
  • Liaise with the Bravura development team to ensure technical and integration solutions are delivered in line with design expectations
  • Acceptance testing of integration enhancements to validate functionality and gain familiarity with configuration
  • Directly support clients’ integration development and configuration against Sonata interfaces
  • Involvement in scoping studies and the provision of solutions to clients
  • Providing support and analysis in performance planning and benchmark exercises

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • Commercial software development experience – preferably in Java and Oracle Database technologies
  • A proven understanding of the development life cycle with a wide understanding of project deliverables
  • Data transformation, web services and reporting experience
  • Enterprise application integration as well as Software architecture
  • Java development and Oracle Database PL/SQL experience
  • Systems integration technologies, including web services and messaging
  • Experience of producing and working with UML based design documentation
  • Knowledge of Web services and XML, HTML/XML/XSLT scripting, Single Sign On and SAML
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distinguish between business and technical audiences
  • An analytical mind to identify trends and underlying problems, ensuring problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Sound organisation and prioritisation skills, able to work unsupervised, managing goals and deliverables
  • An aptitude for working to challenging deadlines and budgets on a continual basis
  • Proven client facing consultancy and relationship skills
