Main activities

  • Responsible for
  • The job holder will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to external and internal clients. The role holder will be an expert in all Wealth Management related software, interfaces, solutions and implementations within Bravura EMEA. They will be involved in the support and resolution of complex technical requirements or issues. The role has client-facing aspects, including visits to client offices.
  • Advising on client projects regarding implementation, integration and upgrades of Sonata application suite through workshops, meetings and involvement in scoping studies
  • Advising on infrastructure requirements and deployment model for Bravura’s WM products
  • Gathering and documenting requirements and solution designs for system enhancements to support integration and technically complex processing areas, and define required enhancements to Sonata
  • Liaise with the Bravura development team to ensure technical and integration solutions are understood and delivered in line with design expectations, advise project teams on technical issues where necessary
  • Acceptance testing of integration enhancements to validate functionality and gain familiarity with configuration
  • Directly support clients integration development and configuration against Sonata interfaces
  • Providing support and analysis in performance planning and benchmark exercises
  • Sonata Web Services – design of service contracts, support of clients in using them
  • Production of technical configuration documentation
  • Technical troubleshooting

Technical Skills

  • Enterprise application integration
  • Commercial software development experience – preferably in Java technologies
  • Software architecture
  • Systems integration technologies, including web services and messaging
  • Web site integration, including iFraming
  • Oracle / SQL
  • JSP / JSF2
  • Experience of producing and working with UML based design documentation
  • SAML (nice to have)
  • Message queue integration (nice to have)



  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Knowledge of Web services and XML
  • Knowledge of Java technologies
  • Knowledge of HTML/XML/XSLT scripting
  • A proven understanding of the development life cycle with a wide understanding of project deliverables
  • Knowledge of Investment, Life, Pensions, and WRAP business (nice to have)
  • Advanced knowledge of software platform architectures, including deployment models and integration (nice to have)
  • Business knowledge within the Insurance and Finance sector to achieve the desired functionality with the Sonata software (nice to have) #LI-PRIORITY
