About the Role

The Test & Release Manager is a core member of a layered, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the implementation of Sonata software package within Wealth Management clients. The Test & Release Manager will be part of a collaboration between the client and Bravura and will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Test & Release are managed and executed effectively.

Main activities

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure there is full understanding of Bravura’s process around testing and fix & release
  • Liaising with Test Practice Lead and other Test Managers to maximize and streamline efficiencies
  • Monitors the clients overall test progress and raise concerns / issues
  • Liaise with both the client and internal development on defect capacity, planning and prioritisation
  • Own, develop and deliver the test strategy for and with each client. This will include: approach, test plans, incident management, test phase exit & entry criteria
  • Ensure forecasts are accurate and up to date
  • Manage internal and client facing reporting including release scope and incident reporting
  • Full ownership of incidents/defects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor progress of all defects
  • Own and run all internal aspects of the triage process
  • Manage client facing developers to ensure that upfront triage is enabled in a collaborative manner with a focus on handoff reduction
  • Monitor the quality of internal & external triage ensuring that there is enough information provided for the escalation to 2nd line triage

To be successful in this role candidates will require:

  • 6+ years of experience in a business or technology consulting company as a Test Manager or as part of a Change/Technology team in retail financial services
  • Proven experience and track record running testing teams in a commercial software environment
  • Experience of UK retail savings and investment products
  • Experience of working within successful technology implementation programmes
  • Operations team leadership within financial services
