The company encourages people to excel and push themselves forward and, unlike some places, everyone is encouraged to voice their opinion and contribute ideas.
Bravura Solutions is a successful and growing company and, as a result, the work is interesting and challenging – and there is a lot of it! This means for me that no two days are the same, which I like. The company encourages people to excel and push themselves forward and, unlike some places, everyone is encouraged to voice their opinion and contribute ideas. An open communication policy has been established which keeps us in touch with fellow employees around the world and this gives the sense of being part of a single team working towards a common goal.
I started as a Business Analyst which involved designing and testing changes made as a result of client requirements. Back in those days we were very much client led; their requirements dictated how the product evolved, resulting in a customised version of the system per client implementation.
Over the years I have worked my way up to Principal Consultant which involves me taking a leading role in project scoping and requirement gathering. These days we are more focused on providing a great product with a single code line and making this work for all of our clients, and part of my job is to make sure that proposed core solutions fit this model. I am also involved in pre-sales activity, which I really like as it gives me a broader perspective on the industry. Not only that, but I now have real insight into how our clients run their business and the kind of system they need in order to be able to support that.
Bravura Solutions is a truly a global company, and the opportunity for travel or working in other countries is great. That means that my project teams are generally spread across the globe, which makes life interesting and sometimes challenging.
